Ideally, you need only 3 basic ingredients to make Mangonut slice. These are Mango, chocolate, and nuts. The other ingredients are optional and boost the flavor of the Mango slice.
- Mango - To make mangonut slice, use dried mango slices as they can stay fresh for a long time.

How to make Mangonut Slice?
Cut dried Mango slice
Spread the dried mango slice on the cutting board. Hold the dried mango slice firmly and slice it lengthwise into thin strips. Then cut it crosswise into small cubes (image below).
Grind nuts and melt chocolate
Grind nuts in a grinder. Combine the white chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it for a minute or until it melts. Stir well to mix the chocolate and butter.
Final preparation
Line a tray or container with a parchment paper. Cover the base with nuts and then pour the melted chocolate. Scatter mango slices and rose petals all over it. Add some mango and pistachio on the top. Smoothen the surface with parchment paper.
Refrigerate it for at least 2 hours. I prefer to keep it overnight in the fridge. Cut the mangonut slice into the desired shapes. Super delicious mangonut slice is ready to serve!!
Storage
If you live in a cold place, it is okay to keep these mango treats at room temperature. Otherwise, keep it refrigerated.
Tips
- It is easy to cut dried mango on a cutting board on a stable surface.
- Lining a tray is essential to prevent sticking the slice to the tray.
- To get the uniform slices, smoothen the surface as much as possible.
- Not to worry, if the slice is cracked while cutting. Heat the cracked slice with some butter in a microwave. Reshape the slice and refrigerate to set it.
- Don't add mango slices all at once, as they will stick together, resulting in unequal flavor distribution in the slice.
