Why you'll love this herb & garlic dip

  • Quick & easy to make - Ready in under 10 minutes.
  • Uses simple pantry ingredients.
  • Fresh herb flavor that pairs with veggies, chips, bread & more.
  • Keeps well in the fridge for snacks all week.
  • Works as a spread, dressing, or marinade.

Made with fresh herbs, garlic, yogurt, and mayonnaise, this homemade garlic dip is fresh, tangy, and far superior to store-bought versions. Ideal as a vegetable dip, sandwich spread, or party appetizer - this recipe is versatile, quick, and delicious!

Ingredients

To make this garlic sauce with herbs, you need the following items:

ingredients for herb and garlic dip.

Herbs - Use fresh leaves of parsley and oregano to add a refreshing herbal aroma and flavor to this dip.

Garlic - Fresh garlic gives this dip its bold, authentic flavor, just like in traditional Haydari meze.

Yogurt - Use full-fat thick yogurt. It gives depth to the dip.

Mayonnaise - I used fat-free mayo to balance the calories, as there's butter in the recipe too, but you can use whichever mayo you like.

Mayo fans, looking for creamy, dreamy, and full mayo flavor recipes - try this chicken mayo sandwich or veg sandwich mayonnaise today!

Butter - I use salted butter to fry garlic to remove its rawness. It also gives this dip a rich and creamy taste.

FAQs

Can I make herb and garlic dip ahead of time?

Yes, this herb and garlic dip can be made 1-2 days in advance. In fact, chilling it helps the flavors blend better. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve

Can I use dried herbs instead of fresh herbs?

Yes, you can substitute dried herbs if fresh ones are unavailable. Use half the quantity of dried herbs, as they are more concentrated in flavor.

This dip can be a healthier option compared to store-bought dips, especially when made with yogurt instead of only mayonnaise. It provides probiotics, healthy fats, and fresh herb nutrients

Is this herb and garlic dip gluten-free?

Yes, the dip itself is naturally gluten-free. Just ensure any sides or dippers you serve with it are gluten-free as well

Tips
