Why mini waffles?

Mini waffles are bundles of joy in every bite. They are great for kids, portion control, or throwing in a fun twist. Their small size means more crispy edges, and who doesn’t love that?

Made in a mini waffle iron—a handy cooking appliance, especially for one or two. Small things are irresistibly cute, like dry fruit balls, spinach carrot Xmas snack, and creamy strawberry bliss.

This crispy waffle recipe is eggless. It is sure to brighten up any breakfast table or snack time! If you’re accommodating dietary restrictions, have an egg allergy, or simply run out of eggs, these eggless waffles are a game changer!

Reasons to 💖mini waffles

  1. Super delicious with a satisfying crunch in every bite.
  2. From prep to plate in under 20 minutes.
  3. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
  4. Get creative with shapes and decorations for fun activities.
  5. Egg-free recipe, so ideal for those with egg allergies or dietary restrictions.
  6. Cook fast- a convenient option for busy schedules.

Ingredients

To make tiny waffles without eggs, you need these items:

ingredients for mini waffles.
  1. Flour - I use all-purpose flour. Replace it with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
  2. Yogurt - Whole milk yogurt.
  3. Oil - Any oil without flavor.
  4. Milk - Use milk to adjust the consistency of the batter. Oh, my mistake I forgot to include milk in the image.
  5. Butter - Butter with salt. Optional but it adds depth to the waffles.
  6. Sugar - For sweetness.
  7. Baking soda- Leavening agent.

How to make eggless mini waffles?

You can find this easy no-egg waffle recipe video below, but here is a quick overview of the procedure:

Step-1 Mix all the ingredients in a bowl to make a batter of smooth and flowy consistency. Let it rest for 7- 8 minutes.

Step - 2 Preheat the mini waffle maker and lightly grease it with oil or butter to prevent sticking. Once, it is ready to use, spoon a ladle full of batter into the preheated waffle maker, spreading it evenly.

Step - 3 Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden and crisp. Repeat with the remaining batter.

Step - 4 Serve the mini waffles warm with your favorite toppings. Use maple syrup, fresh fruits, whipped cream, or even a sprinkle of powdered sugar for that extra flair!

If you’re on the hunt for a waffle recipe that skips the eggs, look no further.

Storage

Since this waffle recipe is for crunchy waffles, I recommend eating them on the same day you prepare them; otherwise, they may lose their crunch the next day.

If you don’t mind the waffles becoming soft and slightly soggy, store them in the fridge for 1–2 days. Reheat using an air fryer, oven, or stovetop before use.

Serving Suggestions

  1. Pour warm maple syrup over the top and finish with a pat of butter.
  2. Top with fresh fruits like berries, sliced bananas, or a fruit compote.
  3. Add a dollop of whipped cream with a drizzle of chocolate sauce, and nuts.
  4. Waffles pair wonderfully with beverages such as coffee, hot chocolate, or refreshing smoothies like banana, watermelon smoothie, and low FODMAP strawberry smoothies.
  5. Pair with fried eggs, avocado slices, or a sprinkle of cheese with herbs for savory options.

More Finger Foods

  1. Make this trail mix chocolate with three indgredients for snacking or serving at any gathering!
  2. These crispy veggie bites are the perfect low-calorie snack, packed with hidden vegetables for a nutritious boost.
  3. With the flavours from fruity jam and coconut, these puff pasty jam tarts, bite-sized tarts are simply irresistible!

Tips

  1. Avoid overfilling the waffle maker.
  2. Grease the waffle maker before pouring the batter into it.
  3. The batter should be thick but flowy in consistency.
  4. Allow the batter to rest for a few minutes before cooking to get fluffier and crunchy waffles.
