5 Minutes Green Chutney Recipe

This delicious 5 Minutes Green Chutney Recipe chutney is too easy to prepare with minimal ingredients. This coriander mint chutney served with snacks will surely enhance the taste & flavour of any snack. Use it as a dipping sauce or as a party spread sauce.

  • Blender/ Food processor

Ingredients
  

  • 3 bunches Coriander/ cilantro
  • 20 leaves Mint Leaves
  • 4 Green chillies
  • 20 g Peanuts optional
  • ½ cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Carom seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • ½ teaspoon Sugar optional

Instructions
 

  • Chop off the thick, tough ends from the coriander and mint leaves and rinse thoroughly.
  • Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend it to a smooth paste.
  • Check the consistency and add water if required.
  • Transfer to a container and can store in the refrigerator for 5-7 days.

Notes

  1. Do not store this green chutney for more than a week.
  2. Always refrigerate it. If it's too cold to serve, keep the required quantity at room temperature before serving.
  3. Add water a little at a time.
  4. Make use of rock salt if you have, as this gives a better taste.
  5. You can also replace cumin seeds with cumin powder.
  6. For dairy-free options, replace the yogurt with tomato or tamarind paste.
  7. Peanuts are optional, but it makes chutney thick and creamy. For nut-free options, you can replace this with coconut.
  8. I would suggest you add more coriander leaves than mint leaves as it will mask the pungent taste of mint leaves.
